Our first stop is at the foot of the striking Hajar Mountains, where a local
market full of locally crafted pottery and carpets can be found. Moving forward,
we can glimpse at Masafi, home to the UAE's renowned spring waters. Driving
through the mountains we will pause at the highest point to view the stunning
scenery and one of the biggest Wadis (dried riverbed). Reaching an unspoiled
coastline, we will take a break to enjoy a refreshing swim in the Indian Ocean.
Onwards, through the fishing villages, we will see Bidaya Mosque, the oldest
mosque in the UAE. Farther ahead we can take in the sights and sounds of
Fujeirah old fort. Our last stop is Bithna Fort, which once controlled the main
pass through the mountains.
