The taste of a resort destination
The East Coast Tour is mainly a tour of Fujairah and the border towns of Oman. This region boasts excellent beaches, diving sites, agricultural and fishing areas. Surrounded by the Hajar Mountains and the diving sites of Musandam this region has earned the reputation of a resort place. The Bidiyah Village and a unique four-domed mosque are among the main destinations of the tour.
Our first stop is at the local market for crafted pottery and carpets, at the foot of the striking Hajar Mountains. Driving through Masafi, home to the UAE’s most renowned springs, we reach the highest point in the mountains for a view of the breathtaking scenery and one of the biggest Wadis (dried riverbed). From the mountains down to the coastline – where you can dive in for a refreshing swim in the Indian Ocean. After lunch we proceed to the fishing villages, pausing at Bidaya Mosque - the oldest mosque in the country, and the old fort. Our last stop is Bithna Fort, which once controlled the main pass through the mountains.
